This was my first time in the Atlantic ocean since I was last back at home a year ago. The water on this side of the peninsula was frickin freezing. My feet were numb instantly and every wave that i got nailed on gave an ice cream headache. It was a big shock to the system getting into the water here. As soon as we swam out the back there were a pack of dolphins swimming around which was awesome to see. I thought they were shocks at first but apparently there not very common on the west coast. There all on the East side of the cape which is on the back of your mind when paddling out for the next wave at Muzenberg.
Llandudno is a world class surfing spot. I could see the potential as its a great beach but today the surf was closing out to fast and theres one hell of a shore dump. You get it wrong on trhe wave and your drilled into the seabed!! That happend quite a few times to me and the 7foot board was just too big. After getting absolutely nailed in the cold water. We called it a day and chilled out on the gorgeous bech for a few hours. One half of the beach was closed for filming and they were using an old hang glider so no idea what kinda film its gonna be.
